Accessibility
What we have done to make this site usable by everyone — and what to do if we have got something wrong.
Our commitment
We want this site to be usable by everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification, or reduced-motion settings.
The standard we build to
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That is the benchmark generally used to assess whether a website is accessible under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
What we have done
- Text and background colours are tested to meet the 4.5:1 contrast minimum. Where our brand gold did not pass, we darkened the text colour rather than keep the brand shade.
- Every page can be operated with a keyboard alone, and the focused element is always visibly outlined.
- A skip link lets keyboard and screen-reader users jump straight to the main content.
- Expandable sections use native HTML controls, so screen readers announce their state correctly.
- Form fields have real labels, not placeholder text, and required fields are announced.
- Images have descriptive alternative text.
- Headings follow a logical order, with one main heading per page.
- Animation is disabled automatically if your device requests reduced motion.
- The layout reflows to 320px without horizontal scrolling.
Known limitations
The consultation form is provided by a third-party plugin. We have labelled it correctly, but its error messages are partly outside our control. If you have difficulty with it, please call us instead.
